This startup wants to get youngsters up from the couch and on to the football pitch. This is done by making it fun and easy to shoot free kicks, getting all your shots analyzed by computer vision and physics models, using nothing but the camera on your own smart phone. Combined with gamification and bio mechanics, it’s the perfect tool for ambitious football youngsters as well as a fun toy for the not-so-ambitious. This is a worlds first, and has attracted several football pros and coaches. The valuation of the company is 8x from when we started our cooperation. The solution addresses UN SDG #3.
Bee futures aims to target bee mortality using deeptech to design a new generation of beehives. We developed a computer vision based solution that decodes how bees communicate the location of food sources to each other. As the bees communicate the location we translate that over to a map, showing where all the bees from all the bee hives found food. It turns out many of the bee hives are wrongly located. This kind of analysis using machine learning has never been done before. The solution addresses 8 UN SDG’s and won the SAS Nordic Sustainability Hackathon 2020.
PropTech startup Shineup looks to eliminate wasted time, money and confusion in refurbishing of rental flats for the professional market. Automating the many parameters of property refurbishing is a tall order, but we believe it can be done, and that machine learning is a large part of the solution.
